Share the setting
A photograph of the wall, approximate measurements and a little context about the room help explain the scale and setting. Mention existing colours or materials that you want the artwork to complement.
Describe what draws you in
Choose a few references and explain what you like about each: the palette, the texture, the movement or a particular subject. References can guide a conversation without asking for a direct copy of another artist’s work.
Leave space for discussion
If you are unsure of the medium, framing or dimensions, say so. Include any preferred date, and discuss feasibility, quotation, delivery and revision terms with the studio before agreeing to proceed.
